Costumes, Kid Entrepreneurs and Krampus: Halloween Comes to Proctor

Proctor is getting dressed up for Halloween next Saturday—and you’re invited to join in. The neighborhood’s free Halloween Parade and Spooky Street Fair returns October 17, bringing an afternoon of shopping, food and costume fun before the parade takes over after dark.
Young entrepreneurs will have their own marketplace, and some unusual guests are joining the procession. Even the Blue Mouse is getting into the spirit, giving visitors another way to make an afternoon and evening of it.

A coffee stop on North Pearl could turn into a longer visit at Wren’s Nest Baking Co. Inside Ruston’s Carriage House, the bakery pairs sweet and savory treats with reclaimed wood walls, fireplace seating and a menu that’s entirely gluten-free.
