Two very different kinds of horsepower will share Cheney Stadium today as hot rods arrive before the Tacoma Rainiers take the field for their final home game of the season.
The Rainiers’ Hot Dogs & Hot Rods car show begins at 10 a.m., giving visitors nearly two hours to examine the vehicles before awards are presented at 11:45 a.m.
Spectators can attend the car show for free without buying a baseball ticket. Parking costs $10, must be paid by card and is valid for both the car show and the afternoon game.
After the awards are handed out, the attention will shift from cars to baseball. The Rainiers face the El Paso Chihuahuas at 1:35 p.m. in Tacoma’s final home game of the 2026 season.
A special $44.92 Hot Dogs & Hot Rods ticket package includes a reserved seat, a premium concessions meal and a commemorative T-shirt. Taxes and fees are included in the listed price.
The morning car show offers a free reason to visit Cheney Stadium even for people who do not plan to stay for baseball. Those who do remain will get one final opportunity this year to watch the Rainiers play at home—and an unusually shiny opening act before the first pitch.
