City Services Expo - Tacoma Local Minute

Tacoma Dome’s T-Town is bringing Halloween fun and career exploration under one roof on Friday, October 30. The free, family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and invites visitors to wear costumes, take part in trunk-or-treating and explore hands-on activities.

A Trades & Hiring Fair will fill the Dome’s Exhibition Hall with around 100 booths from local businesses, educational institutions and apprenticeship programs. The event is organized with Tacoma Public Schools and Korsmo Construction, and is intended to introduce both young people and adults to job opportunities and career pathways.

There will also be plenty to explore beyond the hiring fair. Visitors can see fire trucks and other city vehicles, try a virtual-reality activity that simulates the work of high-voltage electrical workers, learn about Tacoma Rail and pedal bikes that generate electricity. Backstage Dome tours, family crafts, games and a “Baby Rave” are also on the schedule.

T-Town is designed to show off city services while giving families and job seekers a reason to explore them together. For the full activity list and event details, visit the Tacoma Dome’s T-Town page.
