The #1 Roth Conversion Mistake That Costs Retirees
Most people missed the first Roth conversion window. History is offering a rare second chance — but not a long one.
With today's tax rates extended, IRA Millionaires have a brief stretch of historically low brackets left. When it closes, the math changes: higher rates, bigger required distributions, and fewer conversion opportunities each year you wait.
Craig Wear, CFP®, has spent 15+ years helping more than 3,000 families with $1M+ in IRAs plan Roth conversions — helping them avoid a projected $10B+ in lifetime taxes. His new book, Roth Conversion Reset, is the step-by-step playbook:
Lock in today's low rates
Avoid RMD surprises at 73
Protect your spouse from survivor taxes
Keep more for your heirs
The book is free — no credit card, no shipping. The full PDF lands in your inbox in minutes.

Six Free Boat Tours Departing From Foss

The Port of Tacoma’s free public boat tours return Sunday, Sept. 13, giving families a chance to see Tacoma’s working waterfront from the water.
Tours will depart from Foss Waterway Seaport, with six departure times available throughout the day. Along the way, riders can learn more about the Port, Pierce County’s maritime industry and the activity that keeps the waterfront moving.
Tickets are free, but advance reservations are required for a specific departure time. The tours are one of the Port’s most popular community events, so grabbing a spot early is probably a good idea.

Tacoma Wins Its World Series Opener
Soundview Little League opened the Little League World Series in style Wednesday, beating the Southeast Region team from Phenix City, Alabama, 2-0 in Williamsport. The win gives Tacoma a 1-0 start in the tournament and moves Soundview forward in the winners’ bracket.
Next up is the Southwest Region champion, Boerne Little League from Boerne, Texas, on Friday. First pitch is scheduled for noon Pacific, and the game will air live on ESPN.
A win Friday would keep Soundview moving through the winners’ side of the bracket — and keep Tacoma on the Little League World Series stage a little longer.
The Little League World Series website can be found here.
A Tacoma Crystal Shop Has a New Home

Manic Mermaid has reopened in a new Tacoma location, bringing its collection of crystals, rocks, fossils, jewelry and other gifts to 5436 S. Tacoma Way, Suite A.
The shop originally opened in Tacoma’s Lincoln District about a decade ago and most recently operated near Point Ruston. Owners Janelle Elms and Charles Cox chose South Tacoma Way in part because of the neighborhood’s collaborative, community-oriented business scene.
Manic Mermaid celebrated its grand reopening Aug. 1 and is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, with Mondays and Tuesdays closed.
