Your Retirement Has a Vulnerability Most Advisors Never Mention.

Dollar-denominated accounts — 401(k)s, IRAs, savings — are fully exposed to inflation, currency debasement, and government policy. Most financial advisors won't tell you that, because most of them don't profit when you know. Here's what's actually available to you:

  • A Gold IRA uses the same tax protections you already have

  • Physical gold sits outside inflation and banking risk

  • Accounts can go live in as little as 24 hours

  • Zero setup fees, zero-fee buyback guaranteed

  • Free 2026 kit explains everything — no obligation

Glass Fest Northwest

Museum of Glass is bringing back Glass Fest Northwest on Saturday, August 8, with a full day of art, food, music, and free admission.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and puts Pacific Northwest artists and artisans at the center of the celebration. Visitors can explore artist booths, food vendors, live music, hands-on activities, exhibitions, and installations throughout the museum and plaza. Admission to Museum of Glass will be free for the day.

Inside the Hot Shop, visiting artist Dan Friday will be part of the day’s programming in collaboration with IN THE SPIRIT Arts Market & Northwest Native Festival, which is being held across Museum of Glass, Washington State History Museum, and Tacoma Art Museum.

Parking in the museum garage will be limited because of the museum’s capital renovation project, so visitors are encouraged to check overflow parking options before heading down.

South Tacoma Gets Wellness Store

A new wellness-focused shop is planned for South Tacoma this fall.

BahLake is expected to open on South Tacoma Way, bringing a retail space focused on tea, herbs, and other items connected to holistic healing. The store will add another small business to one of Tacoma’s busiest and most varied commercial corridors.

For South Tacoma, the opening continues a steady mix of new businesses finding space along South Tacoma Way. For shoppers interested in natural wellness products, teas, and herbs, BahLake will be one to watch as it gets closer to opening.

Nutcracker Tickets Open

Tacoma City Ballet’s The Nutcracker is returning to the Pantages Theater this December.

The holiday classic will have five performances on December 11, 12, 13, 19, and 20, 2026. Presented with live music from the Tacoma City Ballet Orchestra, the production is billed as a family-friendly holiday tradition and a chance to make some early seasonal plans.

Tickets are available now through Tacoma City Theaters, giving families a chance to reserve seats before the holiday rush. For many Tacoma families, The Nutcracker is one of those once-a-year traditions that helps mark the start of the Christmas season.
