Your Retirement Has a Vulnerability Most Advisors Never Mention.
Dollar-denominated accounts — 401(k)s, IRAs, savings — are fully exposed to inflation, currency debasement, and government policy. Most financial advisors won't tell you that, because most of them don't profit when you know. Here's what's actually available to you:
A Gold IRA uses the same tax protections you already have
Physical gold sits outside inflation and banking risk
Accounts can go live in as little as 24 hours

Student Summer Clinics Open

Tacoma families have a summer option for student health care and sports physicals before the new school year begins.
Tacoma Public Schools says its school-based health clinics are open this summer to all TPS students, offering both standard care and required sports physicals for middle and high school students participating in school athletics. The district has summer clinic hours at Mount Tahoma High School and Lincoln High School, with walk-ins accepted as time allows.

Hilltop Parking Alert

A construction project in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood is expected to mean fewer parking spots in the area through the fall.
The work is focused on sidewalk and lighting improvements, which are intended to make the neighborhood safer and more accessible for people walking, rolling, and visiting nearby businesses. But during construction, drivers should be prepared for reduced parking and possible disruptions around the work zones.
Anyone heading to Hilltop in the coming weeks may want to allow a little extra time, especially when visiting restaurants, shops, medical offices, or community spaces in the neighborhood. The project is another reminder that even helpful street improvements can come with short-term headaches while the work is underway..
Story Hour at the Conservatory

Families with young kids can enjoy story time in one of Tacoma’s prettiest indoor spaces every Thursday through August and once a month after that.
Parks Tacoma is hosting Story Hour at the Conservatory every Thursday through August 27 at 11 a.m. at the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Wright Park.
The event is part of Parks Tacoma’s children’s storytelling programming at the conservatory. It’s a simple, low-key outing for families looking for something free, indoors, and kid-friendly during the week.
