15% Off Your First Order of Fresh-Roasted Pods

Most K-Cups sit in a warehouse for months before they reach your brewer — and you can taste it. Angelino's, a third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, does it differently: every pod is roasted, ground, and sealed fresh in-house, then shipped to your door within days of roasting.

Choose from 50+ specialty coffees — single origins, dark roasts, flavored favorites like Jamaican Me Crazy, plus decafs and teas — all compatible with your Keurig® brewer. Mix and match any coffees you like, and watch the savings climb: bulk discounts start at 5+ boxes and reach up to 34% off at 12+.

And here's the best part: new customers get an extra 15% off their first order, on top of bulk savings. It's applied automatically at checkout — no code, no subscription required. Free shipping on orders over $49 or 4+ boxes.

Fresh coffee shouldn't require a coffee shop.

Port Hosts Fairy Walk

Families can explore one of the Port of Tacoma’s habitat sites next month during a free Enchanted Gnome & Fairy Habitat Walk.

The event takes place Tuesday, August 11, at the Port’s Place of Circling Waters habitat site. Led by a Port of Tacoma staff biologist, the walk will give kids and families a chance to look for hidden fairy houses and gnome homes, learn about local wildlife, and take part in hands-on habitat activities and crafts.

The free event is best suited for ages 5 to 10, with tours offered at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 2 p.m. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. Families are asked to reserve a spot in advance through the Port of Tacoma’s event link.

Reservations here.

Local Trail Closures Through October

Visitors to Swan Creek Park should expect some temporary disruptions through October while construction work continues on a creek restoration project.

According to The News Tribune, park users may see partial hiking trail closures, heavier truck traffic, and limited street parking near parts of the park. Pierce County says truck traffic is expected along East 44th Street and East Roosevelt Avenue, with limited street parking near the East 56th Street entrance. The community garden and bike park are expected to remain open.

The work is part of a larger effort to improve water quality in Swan Creek, create better habitat for salmon, and address erosion in the creek channel. The full project is expected to continue over the next couple of years, with completion currently projected for 2027 or 2028.

Free Music at Museum of Glass

Museum of Glass is bringing live music into the Hot Shop next month with a free Concert in the Cone performance.

The museum will host kora player Sean Gaskell on Thursday, August 20, from 6 to 7 p.m. The kora is a 21-stringed West African harp traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots, with songs that preserve centuries of history dating back to the Mande empire.

Gaskell will perform in the Hot Shop alongside live glassblowing by Hilltop Artists, creating a multi-sensory mix of music and glass art. The all-ages event is part of Museum of Glass’ free-admission Third Thursday programming, with support from Tacoma Creates. Seating in the Hot Shop is first come, first served, so guests are encouraged to arrive promptly.
