Hair Dye Fixes the Gray. It Doesn't Fix the Roots

Hair dye solves the gray you can see. It doesn't touch the reason it's happening. That's why the roots come back, the color looks painted, and the routine never ends. You're not fixing the problem — you're managing the symptom every few weeks. Particle Anti-Gray Serum works differently. It targets the root cause of graying — restoring your natural pigment gradually, from the inside out. Hair and beard. No dye, no smell, no roots giving it away. Results that look like yours because they are. Five seconds a day. Thirty-day money-back guarantee if you don't see a difference. Over a million men trust Particle. Step Back in Time to 1855

Living history actors re-enacting the Brigade Encampment at Fort Nisqually.

Fort Nisqually Living History Museum is stepping back into 1855 this weekend for its annual Brigade Encampment.

The two-day event takes place Saturday and Sunday, July 18–19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fort Nisqually in Point Defiance Park. The encampment recreates the historic arrival of Angus McDonald and his fur brigade, when traders came to Fort Nisqually to exchange furs, restock supplies, and take part in the busy life of a Hudson’s Bay Company outpost.

Visitors can meet living historians, explore period tents, try hands-on skills, watch artisan demonstrations, enjoy live music, sample food from the kitchen, and take part in games of strength and endurance. The weekend also includes Punch and Judy puppet shows, food trucks, and a Sunday performance by the Pacific Ohana Foundation honoring Hawai’ian Hudson’s Bay laborers who worked in the Puget Sound region.

For families, history fans, or anyone looking for something different to do this weekend, the Brigade Encampment offers a chance to experience Tacoma history in a much more hands-on way than reading about it in a book. Tickets are available through Parks Tacoma.

Pierce Transit Tax Vote in November

Pierce County voters are expected to decide this November whether to increase funding for Pierce Transit.

The proposal would raise Pierce Transit’s sales tax rate from 0.6% to 0.9%, with the additional money going toward improved bus service. If approved, the measure is expected to generate about $64 million per year starting in April 2027.

Pierce Transit says the funding could support more frequent service, new routes in areas including Northeast Tacoma and Puyallup, and free rides for people 65 and older. The measure is headed toward the November ballot after a unanimous vote by the Pierce Transit Board of Commissioners.

Owen Beach Open House Tonight

Tacoma residents can weigh in tonight on the future of Commencement Bay.

The event will include a brief project overview, interactive stations, all-ages outdoor activities, a passport stamp activity with prizes, and light snacks and refreshments. Residents can learn more through the City of Tacoma’s Commencement Bay Restoration and Resilience Master Plan page.
