California. Texas. The Billboard Hot 100. It's all on Kalshi.

The California governor primary is live right now. So is the Texas Senate race, the 2028 presidential field, and the question of whether Taylor Swift releases a song for Toy Story 5.

Political and cultural markets on Kalshi move in real time — as news breaks, odds shift. Which means someone who reads closely, follows polls, and actually pays attention to what's happening has a genuine edge over someone who doesn't.

On Kalshi, information is the advantage. The platform is federally regulated under the CFTC, with no house edge and no restricted winners. Every dollar traded reflects real collective intelligence about what's going to happen.

If you're already following politics and culture closely, Kalshi turns that attention into an asset.

See What Lives Below the Tide at Tacoma’s Summer Beach Walks

Tacoma families have three upcoming chances to explore local beaches during some of the lowest tides of the summer.

Parks Tacoma’s Low Tide Beach Walks invite visitors to join trained beach walk naturalists and learn about the animals that live along Tacoma’s shorelines. The next events are Tiptoe Through the Tidepools at Titlow Park on Monday, July 13 at 9:30 a.m., followed by Explore the Shore at Owen Beach on Tuesday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. and again on Wednesday, August 12 at 10 a.m.

The walks are free and no registration is required. Visitors should wear sturdy closed-toed shoes for rocky beaches and barnacles, dress for the weather, and bring sunscreen and water. Parks Tacoma says the events are open to all knowledge levels, with naturalists on hand to help identify tidepool life and explain the biological diversity of local beaches.

What Tacoma Voters Should Know About the August Primary

Pierce County voters will soon receive ballots for the August 4 Primary Election.

The Pierce County Auditor’s Office says ballots will be mailed July 14, and official ballot drop boxes will open the same day. Washington is a vote-by-mail state, so registered voters automatically receive a paper ballot. The voting period runs from July 14 through August 4, with ballots due by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

The primary ballot includes federal, state, county, and judicial races. Depending on where they live, voters may see races for U.S. Representative, State Senator, State Representative, Pierce County Council Districts 1, 5, and 7, contested Precinct Committee Officer races, Washington State Supreme Court Justice, and Pierce County District Court Judge No. 7. Voters in Tacoma, Fircrest, Carbonado, and Fire Protection District No. 10 in Fife will also see local resolutions.

The Auditor’s Office recommends voting early and using an official ballot drop box rather than relying on the mail. Pierce County has 57 drop boxes available, and voters can check the county’s map to find the closest one. Voters can also sign up to track their ballot at VoteWA.gov.
