Hair Dye Fixes the Gray. It Doesn't Fix the Roots

Hair dye solves the gray you can see. It doesn't touch the reason it's happening. That's why the roots come back, the color looks painted, and the routine never ends. You're not fixing the problem — you're managing the symptom every few weeks. Particle Anti-Gray Serum works differently. It targets the root cause of graying — restoring your natural pigment gradually, from the inside out. Hair and beard. No dye, no smell, no roots giving it away. Results that look like yours because they are. Five seconds a day. Thirty-day money-back guarantee if you don't see a difference. Over a million men trust Particle. Duke’s Turns Chowder Into Wildfire Relief

Duke’s Seafood has launched a chowder fundraiser through the end of this month to help people affected by wildfires in Eastern Washington.

For every small or large bowl of clam chowder sold at any Duke’s location, the restaurant will donate $2 to a special Red Cross fund supporting wildfire victims. All six Duke’s locations are participating, including Tacoma.

The fundraiser runs through the end of August, giving Tacoma diners an easy way to help while grabbing a bowl of chowder.

The Candy Cannon Is Back

Fort Nisqually is bringing back one of its most unusual summer traditions this Friday night: Family Fun Night — complete with old-fashioned games, music, ice cream and a cannon that fires candy into the air.

The family-friendly evening runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum in Point Defiance Park. Visitors can bring a picnic, spread out on the lawn and take part in activities inspired by life in the 1850s.

And yes, the candy cannon is exactly what it sounds like. It’s one of the event’s signature attractions and gives kids a chance to chase candy launched out onto the Fort grounds.

Soundview Takes the World Stage

Tacoma’s Soundview Little League team begins its Little League World Series run today in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, representing the Northwest Region on baseball’s biggest youth stage.

Soundview earned the trip by winning the Northwest Region championship after going 3-1 in regional play. Their first World Series matchup is against the Southeast Region representative, Alabama, at 12 p.m. PDT. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN and can also be seen on the ESPN app.

The Little League World Series runs through Aug. 30 and features 20 teams from around the United States and the world. For Tacoma, though, the focus starts with one game: Soundview vs. Alabama tomorrow at noon.

The Little League World Series site can be found here.
