Tacoma’s Halloween Candy Run Will Have a Lot of Horsepower
Trick-or-treating is getting a car-culture twist at LeMay – America’s Car Museum. Its free community Trunk or Treat runs from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, with decorated cars, food trucks, entertainment and family-friendly activities.
Kids can collect treats from decorated trunks, while adults can check out the creative displays and see which one wins the trunk-decorating competition. LeMay says the contest winner will receive a prize.
The museum’s social post also promises local food vendors, specials from El Koreano Café and guests including Most Hated. Families can attend without bringing a vehicle; the decorated cars are part of the attraction.
Local car enthusiasts and clubs are invited to participate by decorating a vehicle and handing out candy. Participants should bring their own treats, with enough for more than 200 guests. Family-friendly decoration themes are welcome.
Children under 13 must attend with a chaperone who is at least 18. The event is free, with support from Tacoma Creates. Car owners can register and visitors can check the details on LeMay’s event page here.
